Virginia's VRLTA (Virginia Residential Landlord and Tenant Act) applies statewide. Deposit must be reported to tenant (escrow bank info) within 5 business days. Arlington County and Fairfax County do not have local rent-control ordinances (Virginia preempts local rent control).
